Part-Time CNA/Mental Health Tech – Crisis Stabilization
Description of Duties: (Day and Night Shifts Available) The individual in this role will serve as the Certified Nursing Assistant/ Mental Health Technician in the Crisis Stabilization Unit. The focus of this program is to provide inpatient, Crisis Services that support individuals experiencing a Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse crisis. The CSU is utilized for individuals undergoing an acute crisis that presents a substantial risk of imminent harm to self or others. The goal is to stabilize the individual through nursing and behavioral supports on a time-limited basis. The role of the CNA/MHT is to conduct continuous monitoring of individuals on the unit for safety and behavior, obtain vital signs and reporting to nursing staff as necessary, provide meals and snacks for individuals served and conduct holistic groups within scope of education level during a 12 hour work period.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be certified as Nursing Assistant. Must have a valid, unrestricted Georgia Drivers’ License. Must be able to read and write and must be computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years experience in Behavioral Health field as paraprofessional and/or CNA. One year experience with Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse At Risk Population.
