Full-Time Regional Radiology Supervisor
To ensure Radiologic Technologist assigned to his/her region follow company policy and procedures. Responsible for assigned region, patient care, patient flow and quality that meets or exceeds company standards.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
In addition to the same requirements of a Radiologic Technologist a candidate must also meet the following criteria.
- Have at least two (2) years experience in the mobile x-ray field, and
- Have at least two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity, or
- Have at least three (3) years work experience and supervisory position in the diagnostic radiology field.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work within the team of radiology supervisors under the direction of the Director of Operations, Radiology Services and is readily available to address all issues within designated region.
- Responsible for planning and implementing schedules and staffing within designated region.
- Personal supervision of all staff technologist and radiology couriers within designated region.
- Maintains communication between management and technologist to ensure quality studies under the direction of the radiologist.
- Conducts staff evaluations on a regular basis. Assess employee needs.
- Responsible for film quality reviews.
- Responsible for ordering supplies, equipment and equipment repair within designated region.
- Maintains inventory of equipment assigned to designated region.
- Orient new employees to the company policies and procedures.
- Assist technologist in solving technical problems.
- Identifies and corrects problem behaviors by ongoing coaching and counseling.
- Reviews technologist payroll to ensure productivity and resource control.
- Regularly communicates with dispatch to maintain consistent patient care.
- Plans and implements strategies and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the company.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Radiology Services.
- Adheres to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care and maintenance of equipment and vehicle. Reports and documents accidents or incidences immediately.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must work extended hours on occasions when required. Must have a good driving record. Must be readily available to assist techs or dispatch with issues.
GEOGRAPHIC KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to locate facilities and or homes using map books, and or personal GPS device.
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS: Friendly attitude and be an excellent face to face empathtic communicator. Display the following supervisory skills: leadership, delegation, time management, problem-solving skills, sound decision making. Follow through on assignments and appreciate the need for consistency. Have basic computer skills such as ability to access database to basic level, internet and email.
MANAGEMENT ABILITY: Must be able to use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in dealing with staff or customers. Have a natural ability to motivate staff toward desired goals.

The standard medical work environment is one in which potential health hazards do exist. Radiology staff can be expected to work in areas where hazards associated with blood borne pathogens, biological materials, hazardous substances and radiation exposure exist. Appropriate training is provided regarding these hazards and staff is expected to adhere to all health and safety policies at all times. The employee will work and drive in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.

Appropriate training is provided regarding these hazards and staff is expected to adhere to all health and safety policies, at all times, whether they are in writing or verbalized by either management or the Health and Safety Officer.
