Summary:
The Vascular Technologist performs vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates patient for presense of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulator and compliance guidelines.
Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures, records patient test results and reports results to physician.
Monitor patient’s comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
Maintain adequate supplies and monitor/verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies or failures.
Performs various clerical duties such as record keeping, tracking, logging, and quality assurance.

Education & Experience:
Two years on the job training in this modality preferred.
Graduate from Allied Health Vascular Ultrasound Program.
Licenses & Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at or within ninety (90) days of start date.
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required at or within one (1) year of start date.
